Why does my joint still hurt after a car accident?

Joint Pain Treatment for Riverdale collision injuries

Joint pain treatment helps people whose hips, knees, shoulders, or other joints hurt after a motor vehicle collision. The work may address swelling, reduced motion, soft-tissue injury, nerve symptoms, or pain that affects daily tasks.

The key decision is whether home changes, guided therapy, an injection, or further evaluation fits the findings. We do not provide general primary care, urgent care, or workers’ compensation care. Our focus is medical care for injuries caused by motor vehicle collisions, with support for personal injury claims or MedPay coverage.

  • Identify which joint hurts and which movements increase the pain.
  • Review accident details, prior care, and available medical records.
  • Discuss physical therapy, heat, cold, or injection options.
  • Request imaging referrals when the clinical review supports them.
  • Keep medical documentation aligned with the injury and treatment plan.

Service Overview

Joint Pain Treatment is a medical service that evaluates painful joints and builds care around the cause and symptoms.

  • Unlike general primary care, this service focuses on collision-related injuries, pain management, procedures, and injury records.
  • Premier Injury Specialists provides this care for Riverdale patients through its Stockbridge and Buckhead locations.

What joint pain care helps you decide

A focused evaluation connects joint symptoms with the collision and your medical history.

A treatment plan gives you practical guidance for movement, rest, therapy, and follow-up care.

Injection therapy may provide another treatment option when the clinical findings support it.

Clear records support communication with attorneys and MedPay arrangements.

The plan can change when your symptoms, examination, or imaging findings change.

What you receive from focused joint pain care

A plan tied to your symptoms

We match care to the painful joint, movement limits, and medical findings. Activity changes alone are not the right job when symptoms suggest a condition that needs imaging, referral, or another medical service.

Pain procedures with clear context

Epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, occipital nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and joint injections may be considered when appropriate. We explain the purpose of a procedure before care proceeds.

Records that support your claim

Our team documents evaluations, symptoms, treatment decisions, and follow-up needs for personal injury claims or MedPay coverage.

Process

How we plan care for painful joints

1

Review the collision and symptoms

We discuss the accident, pain location, movement limits, medicines, and prior treatment.

Examine the painful joint

We assess movement, tenderness, strength, swelling, and related nerve symptoms during the medical evaluation.

3

Consider imaging or referrals

We refer for imaging when the clinical findings call for more information about the injury.

4

Build the treatment plan

We may combine activity changes, physical therapy, heat, cold, pain management, or injection therapy.

5

Record care and follow-up needs

We explain the plan and document treatment needs for personal injury claims or MedPay coverage.

Questions about joint pain care after a crash

What nonsurgical treatments can relieve joint pain for Joint Pain Treatment?

Activity modification is often the first nonsurgical step when movement worsens joint pain. Physical therapy can address strength and range of motion, while heat or cold may help manage symptoms. The right choice depends on the examination and injury pattern. We explain home care, therapy, and injection options during a focused consultation.

How do I know whether joint pain needs more than home care?

Persistent pain, weakness, swelling, numbness, or reduced movement calls for a medical evaluation. Home measures may not address a ligament injury, nerve irritation, or disc-related symptom. Our team reviews the joint and related crash injuries, then discusses imaging, therapy, pain management, or a procedure when the findings support it.

Which records should I bring to my first visit for Joint Pain Treatment?

Medical records, imaging reports, medicine lists, and accident details help us understand your care history. Bring copies of records you already have, along with information about earlier visits and current symptoms. We review those materials with the examination and explain what additional documentation or imaging may be useful.

When might an injection be discussed for joint pain?

Injection therapy may be discussed when the examination identifies a painful joint or pain pathway that fits the procedure. We first review symptoms, movement, prior care, and relevant records. Joint injections, facet joint injections, and nerve blocks serve different clinical purposes. We explain the target, reason, risks, and alternatives before treatment.

Why does care sometimes include physical therapy after a collision?

Physical therapy helps address movement, strength, and function after a crash-related injury. A plan may include guided exercises and safe changes to daily activity. Therapy is not a substitute for every medical evaluation, especially when weakness, numbness, or severe loss of motion appears. We coordinate care around the findings from your visit.

What changes the cost of a joint pain visit?

The evaluation, treatment choice, imaging needs, and coverage arrangement affect the cost of care. We explain the recommended services during a consultation and discuss attorney lien or MedPay arrangements when they apply. Free Consultations are available. No out-of-pocket payment is typically required at the time of the visit.
