Cervical radiculopathy care for Lovejoy accident injuries

Cervical radiculopathy can cause neck pain that travels into the shoulder, arm, or hand. Tingling, numbness, and weakness can make driving, lifting, or sleeping harder. Our work starts with the specific symptoms that followed your motor vehicle collision.

The main decision is whether your symptoms fit nerve irritation and which nonsurgical options suit your condition. A treatment plan may include an epidural steroid injection, guided exercises, posture work, or medication management. We also explain when this focused service does not fit, such as a need for emergency hospital care or treatment outside auto accident injuries.

Patients in Lovejoy can use our coordinated practice for evaluation, targeted care, and records that support treatment. We serve Stockbridge and the greater Metro Atlanta area, so your care stays connected as symptoms change.

  • Record when neck pain, arm pain, tingling, numbness, or weakness began.
  • Bring accident details, prior medical records, and available imaging to the evaluation.
  • Ask which nonsurgical option fits your symptoms and what follow-up records will include.

The staff (Tracy) and the medical folks are very nice. They explain everything to you in plain language before you even get started, and once you see doctor (Dr Scott), the assistant (Areyana) is gentle & sweet. They both will walk you through the entire process verbally, as they go and they make sure you are good before you leave as well. Above & beyond when it comes to bedside manner. Just make sure you don't get lost in the Kroger parking lot, listening to GPS. The clinic is inside Arrowhead across the street, behind Subway.

Questions about cervical nerve pain treatment

What nonsurgical options can treat cervical radiculopathy for Cervical Radiculopathy Treatment?

An epidural injection is one nonsurgical option for cervical radiculopathy when the exam supports it. Other care may include neck exercises, posture correction, medication management, or a different targeted procedure. Premier Injury Specialists matches the plan to your symptoms and findings after an injury evaluation. Results vary, and no treatment guarantees an outcome.

How does a pain management physician check whether a neck nerve is irritated?

The physical exam checks neck motion, arm strength, sensation, reflexes, and the pattern of pain or tingling. We compare those findings with your accident history and available records. The symptom pattern matters because neck pain can come from more than one structure. Our team then explains which treatment options fit the findings.

Which records should I bring to my first injury evaluation?

Accident records, prior medical notes, imaging reports, medication lists, and symptom details help us build a focused plan. Bring any documents you already have, even if the set is incomplete. We can review what is available and explain what the record supports. Detailed documentation also helps coordinate care with your attorney when applicable.

When should arm weakness after a crash receive urgent medical attention?

Worsening arm weakness, spreading numbness, trouble walking, or loss of hand control needs prompt medical attention. These signs can point to a problem that requires urgent assessment. Our practice focuses on auto accident injuries, but emergency symptoms may need hospital care. Do not wait for a routine consultation if symptoms worsen quickly.

Why might neck exercises be part of a nerve pain plan?

Neck exercises can support motion and strength when the examination shows that movement work is appropriate. We explain which movements fit your condition and how to avoid aggravating symptoms. Exercises do not replace an evaluation when pain travels into the arm. The plan may also include posture correction or medication management.

What changes the treatment plan before a targeted injection?

The treatment plan changes with symptom pattern, exam findings, prior care, available imaging, and the suspected pain source. We review those details before recommending a targeted procedure. Patients should share medication concerns and any change in weakness or sensation. The final plan follows the clinical assessment, not the accident description alone.
