Cervical Radiculopathy Treatment for Irondale Auto Accident Injuries

Cervical radiculopathy treatment addresses neck pain that travels into the shoulder, arm, or hand. Patients may also notice pins and needles, numbness, reduced grip, or muscle weakness.

This page focuses on the imaging decision for cervical nerve symptoms after a collision. Persistent symptoms deserve a careful exam, especially when weakness or changes in sensation affect daily tasks. We compare the physical findings with available records before discussing injections, nerve testing, or other care.

The service fits people injured in motor vehicle collisions. It does not replace urgent care or general primary care, and severe or sudden symptoms need prompt medical attention.

  • Note whether neck pain travels into the shoulder, arm, or hand.
  • Record numbness, tingling, grip changes, and muscle weakness.
  • Bring available collision records, imaging reports, and treatment notes.
  • Ask how the exam findings relate to the proposed treatment.

How We Assess and Treat Cervical Nerve Symptoms

1

Review the collision injury

We record how the injury happened, where symptoms travel, and which movements affect the neck or arm.

2

Check strength and sensation

We examine strength, sensation, reflexes, movement, and signs that may point to cervical nerve involvement.

3

Review available imaging

We review available cervical spine imaging reports when persistent symptoms, weakness, or exam findings support further assessment.

4

Discuss nerve testing

We discuss nerve testing when the symptom pattern and physical exam need more information about nerve function.

5

Set the treatment plan

We explain whether targeted care, such as an epidural steroid injection, fits the documented condition.

Why Patients Choose Focused Neck Nerve Care

Clinical findings guide the plan

Patients receive a plan based on symptoms, strength, sensation, and available records. This service is the wrong fit for routine primary care, urgent care needs, or workers’ compensation care.

Targeted procedures match the condition

Epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, and other procedures are discussed only when the patient’s findings support them. The goal is to address the suspected pain source.

Board-certified pain physicians

The practice includes board-certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, along with a certified physician assistant.

What This Care Helps You Decide

A focused exam helps connect arm symptoms with possible cervical nerve irritation.

Clear findings help patients understand why imaging, nerve testing, or an injection may be discussed.

The staff (Tracy) and the medical folks are very nice. They explain everything to you in plain language before you even get started, and once you see doctor (Dr Scott), the assistant (Areyana) is gentle & sweet. They both will walk you through the entire process verbally, as they go and they make sure you are good before you leave as well. Above & beyond when it comes to bedside manner. Just make sure you don't get lost in the Kroger parking lot, listening to GPS. The clinic is inside Arrowhead across the street, behind Subway.

Questions About Neck Nerve Pain Treatment

How does nerve testing fit into the evaluation?

Nerve testing adds information about nerve function when symptoms remain unclear. It may help assess numbness, tingling, or weakness in an arm. We first review the injury history and physical exam, then explain whether testing adds useful information for the treatment plan.

What treatments may help neck pain that travels into the arm?

Targeted procedures may help manage neck pain that travels into an arm when the examination supports a cervical nerve source. Options can include an epidural steroid injection or another interventional procedure. We explain the reason for each option, its role in the plan, and the findings that support it.

Which records should I bring to the first visit for Cervical Radiculopathy Treatment?

Collision records, imaging reports, prior treatment notes, and medication information help us assess the injury. Patients should also note when symptoms began and whether weakness or numbness has changed. Personal injury attorneys can share relevant documents, and our team adds detailed medical documentation throughout treatment.

Why does muscle weakness need prompt medical review?

Muscle weakness can signal a change in nerve function and deserves prompt medical review. The exam checks strength, sensation, reflexes, and movement on both sides. Our team uses those findings to decide whether imaging review, nerve testing, or targeted treatment should be discussed.

Does this practice treat general neck pain or only collision injuries?

Premier Injury Specialists treats neck and arm symptoms linked to motor vehicle collisions. The practice does not provide general primary care, urgent care, or workers’ compensation care. Patients with collision-related symptoms receive an injury evaluation, a focused treatment plan, and documentation through one coordinated practice.
