Why does pain continue after a car accident if the injury isn't visible?

Pain can continue because muscles, ligaments, discs, or nerves were affected by the collision. A focused evaluation reviews symptoms, movement, strength, and sensation. The findings help guide treatment and medical documentation. Seek prompt medical care for worsening weakness, severe headache, confusion, or new loss of coordination after a crash.

Auto Accident Injury Evaluation for Irondale Crash Injuries

Auto accident injury evaluation helps identify the source of pain after a motor vehicle collision. We assess symptoms that may involve muscles, ligaments, discs, joints, or nerves, then match the findings to a treatment plan.

Patients in Irondale may seek care when pain grows after the crash, movement becomes harder, or numbness and tingling appear. This page focuses on the decision after symptoms begin: whether focused pain care, an interventional procedure, or continued medical review fits the injury.

Our practice treats auto accident injuries only. We don't provide general primary care, urgent care, or workers' compensation care. Patients can request a free consultation and ask about MedPay or an attorney lien during the intake process.

  • Bring the crash date, symptom history, and any records you already have.
  • Tell the care team where pain travels, such as from the neck into an arm.
  • Ask how the findings affect treatment, follow-up, and medical documentation.

Questions About Crash Injury Evaluation and Pain Care

What injuries can an auto accident injury evaluation identify?

Soft tissue injuries, disc problems, nerve irritation, and joint pain can appear during an auto accident injury evaluation. Premier Injury Specialists reviews symptoms, movement, strength, and sensation to assess conditions such as whiplash, herniated discs, sciatica, radiculopathy, headaches, and traumatic brain injuries. Findings guide the treatment plan and medical documentation.

How does a pain management physician assess nerve symptoms?

Existing medical records, imaging reports, medication details, and crash-related paperwork can help the evaluation. Patients should also note when symptoms began and where pain travels. Our team reviews the available information with the physical examination, then explains what additional documentation or care may be useful.

When might an injection become part of the treatment plan?

An injection may become part of care when examination findings support a targeted source of pain. Options can include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, occipital nerve blocks, or joint injections. Our physicians explain the purpose, expected risks, and alternatives before any procedure.

Why do symptoms get worse after the collision?

Symptoms can worsen as inflammation, muscle guarding, or nerve irritation develops after a collision. A changing pain pattern deserves medical review, especially when numbness, weakness, headaches, or trouble with balance appears. Patients in Irondale can request an evaluation to connect symptoms with examination findings and discuss next steps.

What changes the cost of procedures for accident injuries?

The selected procedure, clinical findings, and treatment plan affect the cost of accident-injury care. A free consultation gives patients a chance to discuss the recommended service and billing questions. MedPay or an attorney lien may apply, and the practice can explain those options during intake.

Who provides focused care for motor vehicle injuries?

Premier Injury Specialists provides focused care for motor vehicle injuries through board-certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, along with a certified physician assistant. The practice does not provide general primary care, urgent care, or workers’ compensation care.
