Why does pain keep returning near my sacroiliac joint after an accident?

Recurring pain may reflect ongoing irritation near the sacroiliac joint, another spine condition, or more than one injury. A pain evaluation checks tenderness, movement pain, nerve symptoms, and the accident history. The findings help decide whether an injection fits the care plan. Persistent or worsening symptoms deserve medical review.

Sacroiliac Joint Injections for Auto Accident Injuries in Forest Park

A sacroiliac joint injection may fit people with pain near the buttock or lower back after a motor vehicle collision. The decision rests on the pain pattern, joint tenderness, movement pain, and findings from the injury evaluation.

This page serves a focused buyer question: whether the sacroiliac joint may be involved after other care has not settled the pain. We also consider nearby causes, such as a herniated disc, sciatica, facet pain, or radiculopathy. The right next step may be a joint injection, another procedure, or continued assessment.

Our practice treats auto accident injuries only. We do not provide primary care, urgent care, or workers’ compensation care.

  • Pain near the buttock or lower back after a motor vehicle collision.
  • Tenderness near the sacroiliac joint during the examination.
  • Pain that increases with certain movements.
  • A review of prior care, records, and related spine symptoms.
  • A discussion of whether a joint injection fits the treatment plan.

The staff were super friendly and efficient with my back injections. They made me feel safe and I made a great connection with the receptionist. I was actually surprised by the low level of pain. I’ve had back injections before that were very painful, but these injections felt like a little pinch. Would definitely Recommend this facility.

Questions About Sacroiliac Joint Injection Care

Who may benefit from a sacroiliac joint injection after an accident?

Conservative treatment failure may support a joint injection when the pain pattern points to the sacroiliac joint. Premier Injury Specialists checks joint tenderness, buttock pain, movement pain, and related symptoms before recommending treatment. The service may not fit when a disc, nerve, or other condition better explains the pain. Individual results vary.

What should I bring to the first pain evaluation?

Medical records and available imaging help us connect the symptoms with the accident. Bring reports, treatment notes, medication details, and information about prior injections if you have them. The visit also covers pain location, movement triggers, and the care already tried. We can still discuss your concerns when records are incomplete.

Which finding makes this injection a better fit?

Joint tenderness with a matching buttock pain pattern makes the sacroiliac joint more relevant to the discussion. Movement pain adds context, but no single symptom proves the source. We compare the examination with disc, facet, and nerve findings before selecting a procedure. That review helps avoid treating the wrong pain generator.

When should I ask about another procedure?

Another procedure may fit when the examination points to a disc, facet joint, or spinal nerve. Epidural steroid injections address a different area, while medial branch blocks relate to facet pain. We explain the distinction during the evaluation and connect the recommendation to the documented injury.

Why does the price change from one injury plan to another?

The care plan, procedure selected, records reviewed, and billing arrangement influence the final cost. We discuss those details during a consultation and offer free consultations. Care may be billed through MedPay or an attorney lien. We do not provide a price before reviewing the needs of the injury.

How does the injection fit a personal injury case?

The injection becomes part of a documented treatment plan for the auto accident injury. Our records connect symptoms, examination findings, treatment decisions, and follow-up care. We work with personal injury attorneys on thorough medical documentation. That support does not replace legal advice about your claim.
