Facet Joint Injections for Forest Park Auto Accident Injuries

Facet joint injections focus on pain that may come from the small joints behind the spinal bones. These joints help guide movement, but collision forces can irritate them and nearby tissues.

The right decision starts with a focused injury evaluation. Our team considers pain location, movement limits, physical findings, and related symptoms before discussing an injection or another option.

This page serves patients seeking targeted care for suspected facet-related pain, especially when neck or back symptoms continue after a motor vehicle collision. The procedure does not treat every source of spinal pain, so the clinical review matters.

  • A focused review of collision-related symptoms and injury history.
  • An assessment of whether facet joints could contribute to the pain pattern.
  • A discussion of facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, or other suitable procedures.
  • Medical documentation that records the evaluation and treatment plan.

The staff were super friendly and efficient with my back injections. They made me feel safe and I made a great connection with the receptionist. I was actually surprised by the low level of pain. I’ve had back injections before that were very painful, but these injections felt like a little pinch. Would definitely Recommend this facility.

Questions Patients Ask About Facet Joint Injections

Which conditions may respond to facet joint injections?

Neck pain, arthritis pain, spinal degeneration, and lower back pain may respond when facet joints contribute to symptoms. A focused exam helps separate facet pain from disc or nerve pain. Premier Injury Specialists reviews your collision history, movement limits, and related findings before recommending treatment. Individual results vary, and the procedure isn't a fit for every spinal condition.

What does the first evaluation check before an injection for Facet Joint Injections?

The first evaluation checks your pain pattern, movement, injury history, and available medical records. Our team also considers symptoms linked to discs, nerves, muscles, or traumatic injury. Bring prior imaging and treatment information when available. The findings guide a discussion about facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, or another care option.

How do medial branch blocks differ from facet joint injections?

Medial branch blocks target small nerves that carry facet pain, while facet joint injections place medication near the joint itself. Both procedures address suspected facet-related pain, but they answer different clinical questions. Our physicians explain which approach matches the examination findings. The plan can change when another pain source better fits the symptoms.

When could radiofrequency ablation enter the treatment plan?

Radiofrequency ablation may enter the plan after evaluation supports facet-related pain and selected nerve treatment. The procedure uses controlled heat on pain-carrying nerves. Our team explains why it is being considered and how it differs from an injection. A consultation is needed before any procedure is chosen.

Why might an injection be the wrong choice for back pain?

An injection may be the wrong choice when the examination points to a disc, nerve, muscle, or other condition. Facet joint injections address a suspected facet source, not every type of spinal pain. Our physicians review the full injury picture and explain another targeted option when the findings call for it.

What records should I bring to my consultation?

Medical records, prior imaging, accident details, and a list of current treatments can help inform the consultation. These materials give our team more context about your symptoms and prior care. Bring whatever you have available, even if the records are incomplete. We can explain which information matters for the treatment discussion.

Does Forest Park care include auto accident documentation?

Auto accident care includes injury evaluations and detailed medical documentation through our coordinated practice. We work with personal injury attorneys, and care may be billed through MedPay or an attorney lien. Our team still reviews your clinical needs first, then explains the treatment and documentation process in clear terms.
