How We Serve Clients in Lovejoy

Post-surgical pain treatment addresses pain that continues after a procedure for an auto accident injury. The work may involve a review of symptoms, prior care, nerve findings, spinal conditions, and the records needed to document treatment.

Patients must decide whether their pain needs focused pain care or another type of medical service. We treat collision-related injuries, but we don't provide general primary care, urgent care, or workers' compensation care.

The local decision is mainly about fit and access. Our Stockbridge clinic serves patients from Lovejoy and the greater Metro Atlanta area, so patients can request an evaluation through one coordinated practice.

  • Confirm that the pain follows an auto accident injury.
  • Bring surgical records, imaging, medication details, and prior treatment notes when available.
  • Ask whether nerve symptoms, scar tissue, inflammation, or another finding may explain the pain.
  • Request a clear treatment plan and thorough medical documentation.

Questions About Post-Surgical Pain Care

What causes persistent post-surgical pain after an auto accident?

Infection can cause persistent post-surgical pain, along with nerve injury, scar tissue, or inflammation. Our physicians review the surgical history and current symptoms to identify the likely source. The assessment also considers related neck, back, disc, joint, and soft-tissue injuries. Seek urgent medical attention for severe symptoms or a rapidly worsening condition.

At the outset of the job, who provides post-surgical pain treatment for auto accident injuries?

Premier Injury Specialists provides post-surgical pain treatment for auto accident injuries. Our team includes board-certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, plus a certified physician assistant. We focus on injury evaluations, targeted procedures, and medical documentation. We don't provide general primary care, urgent care, or workers' compensation care.

Which records should I bring to the first appointment for Post-Surgical Pain Treatment?

Surgical records, imaging reports, medication details, and prior treatment notes help our physicians assess persistent pain. Bring attorney or claim information when it relates to the collision. The records show what care has already occurred and help us build a focused treatment plan. Our team can explain what else is needed during the consultation.

How do physicians decide whether an injection fits my pain?

An injection fits when the symptoms and clinical findings point toward a target such as a spinal nerve, facet joint, occipital nerve, or other joint. We review the pain pattern, medical history, and related records first. Then we explain the proposed procedure, its purpose, and other care options before treatment.

What does a consultation cost for this care?

Free consultations let you discuss post-surgical pain, treatment fit, and billing questions before care begins. The medical plan and billing path depend on the injury, records, and procedure under discussion. Care may be billed through MedPay or an attorney lien. Our team explains the available billing information during the consultation.

When should pain after surgery receive urgent medical attention?

Severe or rapidly worsening pain needs prompt medical attention, especially with signs of infection or a new change in function. Our practice evaluates auto accident injuries, but urgent care needs should receive appropriate immediate medical attention. If the concern is not urgent, our team can review the surgical history and symptoms through a focused consultation.

Why might a pain physician discuss radiofrequency ablation?

Radiofrequency ablation may be discussed when clinical findings support pain from selected nerves near spinal facet joints. Our physicians first review the symptoms and relevant treatment history. They explain why the method may fit and what the procedure involves. The option is not used for every source of post-surgical pain.
