About

How care for accident-related neck pain works

Neck pain treatment starts with an injury evaluation. We review how the collision happened, where pain travels, and how symptoms affect movement, sleep, and daily tasks. The plan may address whiplash, facet joint pain, a herniated disc, radiculopathy, or soft-tissue injury. Depending on the findings, care may include an epidural steroid injection, facet joint injection, medial branch block, occipital nerve block, radiofrequency ablation, or joint injection. Our deeper focus is the record you take forward. We document the diagnosis, symptoms, treatment plan, and clinical reasoning in the medical record. That record can support care coordination with referring professionals and personal injury attorneys.

What Neck Pain Treatment Covers

Neck Pain Treatment is a medical service that evaluates and treats pain, stiffness, and nerve symptoms after an auto accident.

  • Neck pain care differs from primary care because it focuses on collision injuries, targeted procedures, and injury documentation.
  • Our Stockbridge clinic serves auto accident patients throughout South Metro Atlanta through one coordinated practice.
Process

Steps from neck pain evaluation to treatment

1

Review the collision and symptoms

We ask about the collision, pain location, stiffness, headaches, weakness, numbness, and changes in daily activity.

2

Examine the neck and nerve signs

We examine movement and related symptoms, then connect the findings with possible whiplash, disc, facet, or nerve conditions.

3

Build the treatment plan

We develop an individualized plan that may include non-surgical care or a targeted injection when clinically appropriate.

4

Document care and coordinate next steps

We record the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up needs for the patient and referring professionals.

What to prepare for your neck pain visit

Bring details that help us connect your symptoms with the motor vehicle collision.

  • Bring any records from the collision or prior medical visits.
  • Write down when neck pain, headaches, numbness, or arm pain began.
  • List medicines or treatments you have already tried.
  • Bring imaging reports or discs if they are available.
  • Share your attorney or referring professional's contact information when care coordination is needed.

We match each neck pain plan to the patient's symptoms, examination findings, injury history, and care needs.

Evidence-Based Options

We consider evidence-based, minimally invasive, and non-surgical options when the clinical findings support those choices.

Image-Guided Injections

We use image-guided and interventional injections for selected spinal or joint pain after evaluating the injury.

The staff (Tracy) and the medical folks are very nice. They explain everything to you in plain language before you even get started, and once you see doctor (Dr Scott), the assistant (Areyana) is gentle & sweet. They both will walk you through the entire process verbally, as they go and they make sure you are good before you leave as well. Above & beyond when it comes to bedside manner. Just make sure you don't get lost in the Kroger parking lot, listening to GPS. The clinic is inside Arrowhead across the street, behind Subway.

Questions about care for accident-related neck pain

Who provides neck pain treatment after an auto accident?

Premier Injury Specialists provides neck pain treatment for people injured in motor vehicle collisions. Our team includes board-certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, plus a certified physician assistant. We evaluate whiplash, disc problems, nerve symptoms, and related injuries. We also create medical documentation through the same coordinated practice.

What treatments may help whiplash or a herniated disc?

Treatment depends on the injury and symptoms found during the evaluation. Options may include an epidural steroid injection, facet joint injection, medial branch block, occipital nerve block, radiofrequency ablation, or joint injection. We also use non-surgical care when clinically appropriate. Results vary, so the plan follows the examination and documented findings.

Which condition changes the price of an injection or other procedure?

Procedure cost depends on the treatment selected, the condition being treated, and the care plan. We can explain the recommended service and provide quote details during the consultation. Care may be billed through MedPay or an attorney lien. We also work with personal injury attorneys when documentation is part of treatment.

Can I receive a same-day evaluation in Stockbridge?

Same-day evaluations are available when available at our Stockbridge clinic. The evaluation covers the collision, symptoms, physical findings, and treatment needs. We don't promise a same-day procedure because the medical plan must fit the condition found. Call during our Monday through Friday hours to discuss the visit.

Do I need a referral for an auto accident neck injury?

A referral may not be needed for every auto accident injury visit, so our staff can explain the intake steps. Bring medical records, imaging reports, and collision details when you have them. Our physicians then assess the injury and create a treatment plan. The clinic focuses on motor vehicle injuries, not primary or urgent care.

Should I see a pain physician or an orthopedic doctor for neck pain?

A pain physician fits a patient who needs focused assessment and non-surgical treatment for accident-related neck pain. Our physicians evaluate whiplash, disc conditions, facet pain, and nerve symptoms. An orthopedic referral may be appropriate when the findings call for another type of specialist. We document the clinical reasoning and coordinate with referring professionals.

What should I bring to my first neck pain visit?

Medical records, imaging reports, medicine details, and collision information help us assess your neck injury. Bring any documents from earlier care, plus the names of referring professionals or your personal injury attorney. We use the information to connect symptoms with the accident. Our team then records the findings and discusses the next treatment step.

Scenarios

When Customers Call Us About Neck Pain Treatment

1

Neck pain after a rear impact

A rear impact can leave you with stiffness, headaches, or pain that appears later. The timing and pattern matter because whiplash symptoms can overlap with facet or soft-tissue injury. Write down what changed after the collision and request an injury evaluation in Stockbridge so we can document the symptoms and plan the next step.

2

Arm pain with neck movement

Neck pain that travels into an arm can point to nerve irritation, especially when numbness or tingling also appears. Our physicians need the location, movement pattern, and effect on daily tasks. Bring prior imaging and medical records if available, then schedule a consultation for a focused examination and treatment plan.

3

Records needed for coordinated care

Some patients need treatment records for an attorney or another referring professional while care continues. The diagnosis, procedure details, and follow-up notes must match the symptoms and findings. We keep those details in one coordinated medical record and can work with personal injury attorneys during treatment.

Our Other Services

Knee Pain TreatmentKnee pain after a crash can affect stairs, walking, and everyday balance. We assess joint tenderness, swelling, and movement, then discuss options such as a knee injection when inflammation or joint damage contributes to pain.
Auto Accident Injury EvaluationAfter a collision, neck stiffness, dizziness, or back pain can signal injuries that need prompt review. Our physicians assess whiplash, herniated discs, radiculopathy, and soft-tissue damage, then create a documented treatment plan for your recovery.
Epidural Steroid InjectionsArm or leg pain from an irritated spinal nerve can make driving, sleeping, and working difficult. An epidural steroid injection places medication near the affected nerve root to reduce inflammation and support meaningful movement.
Facet Joint InjectionsPain from irritated facet joints can worsen with standing, bending, or turning your neck. A facet joint injection targets the painful spinal joint with medication, helping identify the source and ease localized back or neck pain.
Medial Branch BlocksPersistent spine pain may come from small nerves serving the facet joints rather than a disc. Medial branch blocks temporarily numb those nerves, giving physicians useful diagnostic information and helping guide later treatment decisions.
Occipital Nerve BlocksPain behind the skull, scalp tenderness, and shooting sensations can point to irritated occipital nerves. An occipital nerve block delivers medication near those nerves, which may calm head and upper-neck pain during daily activities.
