Service Overview

Trigger point injections are a pain treatment that places medicine into a tight, tender muscle area.

  • They target muscle knots, while epidural steroid injections and facet joint injections address pain from different spinal structures.
  • Premier Injury Specialists provides this care for crash-related injuries affecting patients in Smyrna and nearby Metro Atlanta communities.

What You Get From a Focused Injection Plan

A decision tied to the pain source

Trigger point injections fit muscle-based pain, so we first connect the tender area with your symptoms and collision history. The service is not the right choice when another cause, such as a spinal nerve problem, needs different care.

Care that fits the injury record

Your evaluation, procedure, and follow-up needs stay connected. Our team can support medical documentation for personal injury claims or MedPay coverage.

A plan beyond one procedure

The treatment discussion includes muscle relaxation, activity changes, and possible repeat care. Results vary, so we explain the next step without promising a fixed outcome.

A client scenario this service addresses

A person in Smyrna may have a tender neck or back muscle after a collision, while the source of pain remains unclear. We assess the symptoms, connect them with the injury history, and decide whether a muscle injection belongs in the plan or whether another evaluation is needed.

4

Questions About Muscle Injections After a Collision

In terms of job preparation, how long does relief from trigger point injections usually last during the on-site evaluation?

Pain reduction after trigger point injections varies by the injury, muscle irritation, and daily activity. Some patients notice relief, while others need a different plan when symptoms continue. Our team checks the response during follow-up and may discuss muscle relaxation, activity changes, or repeat treatment. We don’t promise a fixed duration because individual results vary.

What decides whether an injection fits my neck or back pain?

The symptom pattern and tender muscle findings decide whether an injection fits. We review the collision history, examine the painful area, and consider whether a joint or nerve may be involved. Imaging referrals may be appropriate in some cases. This review helps connect the procedure to the actual pain source.

Which records should I bring to the first evaluation?

Medical records, prior imaging reports, and details about the collision help guide the first evaluation. Bring any treatment notes, medication information, and claim details you have. Our team reviews those materials with your symptoms and exam findings. The record also supports medical documentation for personal injury claims or MedPay coverage.

When might repeat treatment be discussed?

Repeat treatment may be discussed when the same muscle remains tender and symptoms return after the first procedure. Our team reviews the response, activity level, and current exam findings before making that decision. A returning symptom can also point to another pain source, so repeat injections are not automatic.

Why can normal activity bring the pain back?

Normal activity can keep stressing an injured muscle and bring symptoms back. We ask which movements increase discomfort and whether the tender area has changed. Activity changes may support the care plan, but persistent pain may require another evaluation. Results vary between patients after a collision.

Can I request an evaluation in Smyrna without general primary care?

Yes, Premier Injury Specialists focuses on evaluating and treating motor vehicle collision injuries. The practice does not provide general primary care, urgent care, or workers’ compensation care. Patients can request a consultation for crash-related muscle pain, treatment options, and documentation needs.
